The first of a two-part series by Dominic H. Francisco, Laika, Act One is a far more experimental album than his previous releases. Act One features distorted bass played as an acoustic guitar would; the final track, however, bares similarity to Dominic H. Francisco's more electronic pieces. Like the rest of his work, this album is much better listened to as a whole than as individual tracks. The volume is a bit low, so turn up your speakers. This album peaked at number 79 on the Bandcamp Berkeley chart and was rated ★★★★ by the Iowa City Music Review.
